About Me

I am a graduate of UT Arlington. Starting from associate to BSN to MSN and currently pursuing a DNP in Nursing Education. I have been a nurse for 12 years, and I was a CNA for 4 years. I am a busy mom of a 4 year daughter and 15 month son and have been teaching for 5 years in both a Vocational and Associate Degree Nursing program and I also teach Pharmacology for nursing. I am extremely passionate about teaching and helping my students and clients learn how to be confident, provide safe and compassionate care to their patients, by helping them learn and retain complex concepts in a relatable, interactive and easy way. I believe that building a strong basic foundation helps to better understand material. My Master's degree is focused in nursing education, and I have a Medical Surgical Nursing certification. I am now currently working on a doctoral degree in nursing education. I am always looking at and learning new ideas and ways to reach different learners. I believe my students push me to be a better educator, and I LOVE TO HAVE FUN!! Specialty areas include: med/surg, oncology, cardiac and pulmonary, and forensics. "Nursing is my profession."
