I am a graduate of Walden University (Minneapolis, MN) and have attained a doctoral degree in Finance. I also received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Webster University (Saint Louis, MO), and a Bachelor of Business (BBA) Administration degree in Computer Information Systems from Campbell University (Buies Creek, NC). I have continued to pursue professional development courses to keep abreast of the latest educational and innovative opportunities in our society. My teaching experience consists of facilitating adult education courses (Math and Reading) at a community college in Maryland, teaching biblical lessons and designing curriculums (age appropriate) for Pre-K though teenagers at my church in Maryland; also, being promoted to a leadership position as the Director of Children's Ministry within 2 years. Furthermore, leading and directing over 200 students and 15 teachers weekly, while interacting with parents and the pastoral staff. In addition, I taught Personal Finance classes to middle school students at another church located in Maryland (during the pandemic) and applied real-life financial principles with my students. Lastly, I taught computer and travel credit card courses to military and civilian personnel within the Department of the Army (Budget Office) in Maryland. I teach a variety of subjects; however, I am very passionate about teaching Personal Finance, Writing, and Business. Being a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI) gives me the experience of helping students understand financial principles and prepare for their financial success at early stages in their life. I believe knowledge is power and I enjoy adapting my lessons and materials to help each student progress, engage, and stay motivated during their academic journey.

In my spare time, I enjoy writing, exercising, traveling, meeting people, cooking different food, and listening to music. I have recently accomplished my goal of publishing my book on Amazon.com, titled: “You Can Make It: How to Start Living Your Victorious Life.” Being an author gives me inspiration and joy and helps me to encourage others and instill positivity into them by letting them know that “you can make it” and achieve greatness as a student, parent, or adult.
