About Me

In 2016, I was introduced to the world of online ESL teaching. I immediately fell in love with this platform of teaching. I primarily taught students from China, and in 2021 I began teaching students from around the world. I also began teaching students of all ages. I am comfortable teaching one-on-one or in groups. I have an extensive background in education. I graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in Special Education. I taught students in grades K-12. While teaching in the school setting, I had the experience to teach subjects such as Math (including Algebra 1), Science, and History. As well as other core subjects. I also had the opportunity to teach Basic Spanish skills in the Elementary setting. One of my responsibilities was teaching the core subjects to students that were too medically fragile to attend their home school setting. I became passionate in helping students with learning disabilities reach their potential for learning well before going back to college as my youngest daughter (she is 27 years old) is Intellectually Disabled. Through this experience, I have learned that I have the compassion and patience to help students learn. As a passionate teacher, I'm fully committed to improving and adapting the lesson to meet each individual student. I am excited to begin this new tutoring journey with your child to help them grow in their area of need.
