About Me

I am an experienced educator with a Master's and PhD in Irish Music Studies and a Bachelor's in Music Education. I have over 2 years of tutoring experience and more than 10 years in the classroom. I specialize in a range of subjects, including Ethnomusicology, Teacher Preparation, English Language Arts, and Music Theory, which allows me to connect with students of various ages and backgrounds. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore and express their ideas. I am passionate about fostering academic confidence and critical thinking skills, and I enjoy integrating music into my lessons to make learning more engaging. Outside of tutoring, I am an avid musician and enjoy exploring different cultures through music, which enriches my teaching approach and inspires my students.
