About Me

I am school-based Speech-Language Pathologist and educator with 30 + years of experience in the public school system. Although I am a speech-language pathologist, my area of expertise is in early literacy and reading. I have consistently advocated with my school administrators, and teachers to restore phonics and phonological awareness to the development of literacy. My therapeutic style of teaching reflects a whole language approach which helps students to engage and take interest in reading. This allows an opportunity for him or her to see themselves as a successful reader.
