I co-teach 6th grade Math and ELA (classes for students with and without IEPs), and Resource ELA, Math, and Reading. I also work with students on behavior management, self-regulation, organizational skills, and social skills. While core subjects are important, I also put a lot of energy and emphasis on promoting a growth mindset. There truly is no learning without making mistakes, and that can be a very uncomfortable fact. I encourage students to be brave enough to make mistakes and work through learning from them.
