About Me

I am a graduate from the University of Maryland: Baltimore County, and I received my degree in Geography and Environmental Science, which is fun stuff like geology and hurricane studies. I was a tutor for 2 years at my university, and I got lots of experience with figuring out individual learning styles and different ways to approach education. I've always been most excited about taking and teaching STEM classes. I love being able to teach science and math the most because they have a reputation for being really difficult, and I love breaking down concepts into bite-sized components that are easier to think about. My teaching style focuses heavily on content understanding, instead of just short-term application. I find students are able to excel much more when they're given time to be able to break down content and thoroughly explore how and why it works.
