About Me
As a passionate educator with over a decade of tutoring experience, I've dedicated my career to empowering students and unlocking their potential. My journey began at Spelman College, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, laying the foundation for my understanding of diverse learning styles and the importance of a supportive educational environment. This experience was further enriched by my pursuit of master's degrees in Media Design from Full Sail University and Social Work from Clark Atlanta University. My educational path has equipped me with a unique blend of creative, analytical, and empathetic skills that I bring to every tutoring session. My passion for teaching stems from a deep belief in the transformative power of education and the importance of nurturing our next generation. I am particularly passionate about subjects that allow students to explore diverse perspectives and express themselves creatively, with African American History, Reading, and Writing holding special places in my heart. These subjects not only open doors to crucial historical understanding but also develop critical thinking and communication skills that are essential for success in any endeavor. My tutoring style is patient, interactive, and engaging, designed to make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student, fostering a supportive environment that encourages curiosity and growth. Beyond academia, my interests in drawing, painting, and spending quality time with my family reflect my belief in the importance of a well-rounded life. I look forward to helping your child expand their learning horizons, achieve their academic goals, and develop a lifelong love for learning.
Hobbies & Interests
In my personal time, I cherish the simple pleasures of creativity and well-being. Drawing and painting are not just hobbies but essential parts of who I am, allowing me to express myself and see the world through a lens of color and imagination. Daily walks with my dog and pilates sessions keep me physically active and mentally sharp, reflecting my belief in the importance of nurturing both mind and body. Above all, my family is my anchor, providing love, laughter, and the perfect reminder of what truly matters in life. These interests shape my approach to teaching, emphasizing the value of a balanced, enriching life both inside and outside the classroom.
