About Me

As a passionate educator dedicated to nurturing young minds, I bring a diverse background and a wealth of experience to my role as a tutor. With a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Minor in Sociology from the University of Texas Arlington, supplemented by an Associate of Science degree from Tarrant County College, I have cultivated a deep understanding of the subjects I tutor. In my role as the lead tutor at my local church, I have had the privilege of guiding students ranging from pre-K to college freshmen in various subjects, including biology, programming languages and advanced mathematics. This experience has not only strengthened my teaching abilities but has also instilled in me a profound sense of fulfillment in helping others achieve their academic goals. My tutoring philosophy is rooted in personalized attention and hands-on learning. I believe in creating a supportive and stimulating environment where students feel empowered to explore, ask questions, and discover their strengths. Whether I'm assisting a young learner with elementary classes or delving into complex mathematical concepts with a college freshman, my goal remains the same: to foster a love for learning and to equip students with the skills they need to succeed. Outside of academia, I am an avid advocate for community engagement and volunteerism. As a member of UTA Volunteers and the UTA African Student Association during my undergraduate years, I actively contributed to various initiatives aimed at enriching the lives of others and promoting social change.
