About Me

Hello, my name is Janine Luke, and I am a passionate educator dedicated to fostering a love of reading and math in young children. With over Ten years of classroom experience and a Master's in Childhood Education from Mercy College, I specialize in elementary school Reading, English Language Arts, math, and test prep for elementary state exams. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive environment where students thrive through hands-on materials, interactive activities, and technology. I focus on foundational literacy skills (phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension), comprehension skills in upper elementary and math content tailoring my approach to meet each child's unique needs. My goal is to inspire students to become lifelong learners and confident readers.
