I am a Stanford University graduate, certified teacher, and experienced tutor with nearly a decade of success helping students strengthen skills, improve grades, and rediscover confidence in learning. I have taught 5th12th grade math, science, and core subjects in both traditional and specialized school settings, including classrooms designed for students with behavioral, emotional, and learning differences. My background spans teaching middle school math and science, high school biology, chemistry, and algebra, and providing individualized support in reading, writing, and executive functioning skills. I've worked with students who are excelling and want enrichment, as well as those who need structure and scaffolding to regain academic confidence. This balance has helped me build a tutoring style that blends patience, strategy, and real enthusiasm for helping students find success on their own terms. I'm especially passionate about biology and applied math, because they teach students how to make sense of the world around thembut I love working across subjects to help students connect ideas and strengthen critical thinking. My sessions are student-centered and adaptable; I tailor each lesson to meet specific goals, whether it's homework help, test preparation, study skills development, or long-term enrichment. I love creative projects—especially designing and sewing unique clothing pieces or doing DIY art. When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me writing, exploring nature, or reading something new about science or human behavior.
