I am an educator with 10 years experience and I hold a Master's Degree. I taught general education for 7 years (2nd-5th grade). I then served as a Math Intervention Specialist (K-5) and Gifted Education Specialist (K-6) for 2 years. I currently serve as a district level Coach, helping new teachers be successful in their classrooms. I have a M.Ed. in Language and Literacy education, BA in Elementary Education and Psychology, and two post graduate certifications in Gifted Education, and Coaching/Mentoring. I am licensed to teach all subjects in Elementary Education (k-6), Reading (K-12), and gifted education (k-12). My areas of expertise are elementary and middle school math and reading. In 2022, I was awarded the North Carolina Council for Teachers of Mathematics (NCCTM)Outstanding Teacher of Mathematics award.

Outside of education, I love to read, go to the beach at night, go to coffee shops, play with my pups, and go for runs. I have also completed a half-marathon!
