Ms. Garcia earned her Master of Education degree in Integrated Studies (Education and Counseling Psychology) from Cambridge College (MA) in 1995. She taught woodwinds/piano/voice privately at Meridian Music in Carmel IN and IUPUI Music Academy in Indianapolis, IN. At Burden Bearers Co-Operative School in Indianapolis IN, She taught music theory, piano, and ensembles. Their assistance led to the creation of an intergenerational education program, promoting relationships between at-risk middle school students and older adults. The program encompassed visual arts, crafting, culture studies, math, and language arts. She worked as a teaching trainee for ACT in Cambridge MA, instructing high school students in music and science, tutoring elementary students in language arts, and assisting in the development of a summer camp for bilingual high school students emphasizing job and life skills. She is currently studying Communications- Professional Writing at Southern New Hampshire University. Her goal is to become a freelance writer/content copywriter in her own business. Her interests are reading, writing, languages, music performance/composition (nyckelharpa/piano/voice), cats, alternative/naturopathic medicine, and vegan/vegetarian cooking.
