I am a patient and passionate educator with the belief that any student can succeed in reaching their full potential with the right tools, guidance, and practice. I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching from UNCW and my Bachelors from VCU. Since graduation, I was an interventionist and worked with several small groups of students in grades Kindergarten and third grade. to assist with bringing them back to grade level. I have taught Kindergarten for the past four years. Cumulatively, I have over 7 years of experience in teaching, mentoring, and tutoring grades K- 8th grade. I love all subjects but I especially love reading and math. I like to use a variety of strategies to help my students understand the concepts that are being taught because I know that everyone learns in their own way. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my kids and creating new an exciting experiences for them! A fun fact about me I used to play volleyball for VCU!
