I believe that every student has the ability to be successful, but for many students the "traditional" approach is not working in a class full of students. I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education as well as certifications in Teaching English as a Second Language and the Science of Teaching Reading. I love tutoring elementary and middle school students as this is a pivotal time time in their lives and often need to learn foundational skills to help them feel confident in our everyday classroom settings. I love to spend time outside with my husband and Aussie puppy. I also love attending football and baseball games through the university in town. My favorite subject is social studies; I find US history fascinating and a fun way to engage students in critical thinking.
