My years of classroom experience taught me to respect all learners, finding ways to help people understand their goals and those of educational institutions. Literature and poetry are two areas that are fun to explore with me - I focus on the messages we can take from those pieces as well as the formal construction of the art. I believe writing can be transformative for the writer, so I enjoy tutoring the writing process from beginning to end. In my spare time, I travel anywhere, but often walk through Philly, Washington DC, and any downtown to people-watch, browse stores and sample restaurants. I am also a fan of basketball, soccer, and football.

Reading is my favorite hobby. I like to read everything from the best sellers lists to deeper literature. I enjoy nonfiction as well, especially opinions that are based on strong research. Reading branches out my world into more interesting travel, better gardening, and compassionate support of other people's needs. I am also a spectator of many sports, enjoying the drama of a game.
