I had been working in mental health prior to my music degree, so when I returned to school, it was for a PhD in Psychology from Boston University. I followed this with a Master of Business Administration also from Boston University. My motivation here was to better understand business and organizations, the way I had come to understand people. After graduation, I worked as a Unit Clinical Director at the Bridgewater maximum security mental health hospital under a contract that Mclean Hospital had with the Massachusetts Department of Correction. Since McLean is part of the Havard Medical School system, I was also appointed of Instructor in Psychology, Harvard Medical School, and supervised other clinicians in training. I also taught psychology courses at Boston University and the University of Lowell. I left McLean to become Clinical Director of the Massachusetts Depart of Mental Health Hospital Division. Following that, I worked briefly for a private national rehabilitation company, before starting my own company BHM International with another psychologist. Through BHM, we provided training and technical assistance to grantees of the Federal Government, such as clinics and Head Start programs, as well as hospitals and health systems in developing countries. After more than ten years, I shifted focus to becoming trained and certified in information technology and project management. I taught for two years as Professor & Executive Coach for the Executive MBA Program at the University of Maryland University College, Graduate School of Management and Technology. Thereafter, I worked as a proposal manager and project manager for various companies, mostly recently for Amazon. I still enjoy playing the flute, and my other relaxing activities are writing poetry, cycling, weightlifting and flexibility training. I consider myself a seeker and sharer of wisdom. There's always more to learn, and more to share to help others along their own growth paths.
