About Me

As a dedicated educator with a rich background in special education and instructional technology, I am passionate about helping children unlock their potential. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Tennessee Technological University and a Master's in Education from Middle Tennessee State University. In addition, I have an AMS Montessori Teacher Certificate (Level I, ages 6-9). I take great pride in creating a supportive, individualized learning experience for every child. Whether your child is mastering early literacy skills or reading comprehension, I tailor my approach to each child's unique strengths and needs. I like to work with students who have learning difficulties, ADHD, or a diagnosed learning disability. My goal is always to break down complex concepts into simple, digestible steps, ensuring that students feel confident in their abilities. I specialize in teaching phonics using Orton-Gillingham strategies and reading comprehension.
