About Me

I graduated from Messiah College, where I received a Bachelor of Science in K-8 education. Afterward, I attended Villanova University. I received my Master of Science in Counseling and Human Services and certification in K12 School Counseling. I am completing my doctoral degree in education (Post Secondary Teaching and Learning) at National Louis University. Throughout my educational career, I have worked with diverse student populations in Title 1 schools as a teacher and school counselor. I had the pleasure of working with students one-on-one, in small groups, and with the whole class. My top priority is making learning fun through active engagement. I wholeheartedly believe that learning is reciprocal, and the knowledge that I have received from my students is immeasurable. My fondest memories with students are of engaging in thoughtful and meaningful conversations and activities about literature and its connectedness to real-life experiences. The more students can apply real-life applications, the more their learning becomes increasingly impactful, and their confidence soars. In all my subject matter expertise, I am committed to embracing and applying a holistic, student-centered approach.
