About Me
As an instructor, I believe every student needs someone in their cornersomeone who will guide them through challenges and celebrate their breakthroughs. With experience teaching and mentoring students from preschool to high school, I have worn many hats: etiquette instructor, preschool substitute, Girl Scout leader, and middle school volleyball coach. My background in Political Science and English from Spelman College has fueled my love for reading, writing, and staying engaged with current events. I see the world through words, which is why I specialize in tutoring English, reading comprehension, writing, creative writing, and public speaking. If you're willing to do the work, I'll be there every step of the way. Outside of academia, I enjoy baking and cake decorating, cooking, traveling, and writing. I also founded a book club that proudly celebrates its 25th anniversary this yeara testament to my lifelong love for literature and discussion. Let's make learning meaningful and engaging together!
Hobbies & Interests
My hobbies are varied, but simple: cooking, baking, cake/cookie decorating, reading, writing, arts and crafts, board games, word games, game shows that deal with words, trivia, and sports.
