Hi, I'm James. I also have experience working with younger students as a camp counselor, working with kids from 7 to 16 to help them develop into driven, self-sufficient young people. My passion for tutoring comes from a desire to help students build confidence in their skills and develop a genuine understanding of concepts, especially in math. My approach is all about meeting students where they are. I like to start by figuring out what they already know and understand, then use that as a foundation to strengthen areas where they feel less confident. I like to use simple examples similar to the problems they find challenging and work them through them step by step before giving them an opportunity to try on their own.
