About Me

As an experienced educator with a Master's degree in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University, I have dedicated over 20 years to teaching various subjects, including AP US and World History, Geography, AP Microeconomics, and AP U.S. Government & Politics. My approach to tutoring centers on fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment through the Socratic method, encouraging students to think critically and explore concepts for a depth of understanding. My diverse teaching background, including work with grade school ESL students from China and Singapore, collegiate learners, and even preschoolers, equips me to adapt my methods to meet the unique needs of each student. I am passionate about helping students connect real-world applications to their studies which enhances their understanding and retention. I strive to instill critical thinking skills in my students while modeling a love for learning in guiding students toward academic success. And I like to have fun wile doing it.
