About Me

As an occupational therapist with a Doctorate from Duquesne University, I am passionate about helping students succeed in their studies, particularly in preparation for the NBCOT exam. With over 2 years of tutoring experience, I have honed my ability to connect with college and post-graduate students, tailoring my teaching methods to their individual learning styles. My approach is student-centered; I emphasize organization and clarity, using visual aids and practical examples to enhance understanding, especially in topics like developmental milestones and treatment planning. I believe that effective tutoring is about building a supportive relationship, and I draw from my own experiences as a mentor to guide my students. My commitment to their success is driven by my love for the field and the joy of sharing knowledge, making learning engaging and relevant. I have several interests and hobbies! I love to run for fun and in races. Fun fact, I have completed 4 half marathons with plans to complete a full marathon. I also love to bake and cook. I am gluten free, so I took to baking and cooking as an outlet to show others that you can still enjoy delicious food while being gluten free. Another hobby of mine is reading. I love the escape into other lives and worlds that I get with reading. I live by the beach, so going to the beach is also a hobby of mine! Lastly, I have a 7 month old son, so a lot of my time is taken up by playing with him and watching him learn and grow!
