About Me

I received my bachelor's in communications from the University of Maryland Global Campus while traveling the world as a military spouse. Traveling allowed me to experience different cultures and new ways of learning. I am currently working on two master's programs, one a degree in social work with the University of Texas at San Antonio. Where I maintain a 4.0 GPA after one year in program. The other is a master's in public health at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where I am in my first semester. Since I have experience in both on campus and a distance learning, I have an edge when it comes to the type of learning needed to succeed. My experience with students started as a middle schooler who was asked to tutor a Korean boy in English. Moving on from there, I tutored informally throughout high school and college. I currently work with other graduate students. I tutor in English, communications (including media and journalism), human resources, and English as a second language. When I am not working or working on schoolwork, I enjoy spending time with my three children and grandbaby, as well as my husband. We like to travel, both in Texas, around the country, and to other continents. I look forward to productive partnerships with future students.
