Alohi

My name is Alohi, and I am a current undergraduate student at Rice University, pursuing a BS in Cell Biology & Genetics and a BS in Chemistry. I am well-versed in my tutoring experience, having previously managed my own tutoring business and worked in-facility for quality tutoring centers in Texas. I also have been able to use my intermediate Spanish speaking to better connect with my students, especially in the public speaking and interview preparation realm, where I shine the most! My areas of expertise in tutoring range broadly, and I like to focus on public speaking, biology, essay editing, college application preparation, and elementary/middle/high school mathematics/English when it comes to school subjects. Aside from classes, I am passionate about my wet lab research in the Texas Medical Center and patient advocacy work, as well as recreational arts, to keep a good balance going with how hectic day-to-day life can get sometimes.

In my free time, I enjoy performing classical dance and a capella choral pieces, as well as spending time with family in the beautiful natural parks our world has to offer!
