About Me
Hi! I'm a graduate student at Emory University studying theology, with a passion for languages and teaching. While my tutoring experience has focused primarily on ESOL for adults and reading comprehension for children, I'm especially excited to tutor in French. I've studied French since college and completed coursework at Alliance Franaise in D.C. and CAVILAM in Vichy. I have used it professionally for research and conducting trainings in North and West Africa. I keep my French sharp by reading French novels, watching French films, and speaking with a language partner in France I also majored in German and lived in Germany for three years. In 2013-14, I completed a language fellowship studying Swahili in Zanzibar and Kenya. Currently, I substitute teach part-time while in school. I also walk dogs at a local shelter. Across all my teaching, I'm committed to student-centered methods. I enjoy taking complex material and making it engaging, accessible, and fun. I am excited to meet you!
