Hello, my name is Avva! I am a graduate student in Early Childhood Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, with over 8 years of experience supporting children ages 3 through 18 through individualized tutoring, childcare, and academic enrichment. My background includes extensive work at Kumon Math and Reading as the General Manager, private language tutoring, and experience working in childcare, ranging from newborns to teenagers! I specialize in early childhood and elementary education, including school readiness, literacy development, foundational math skills, and personalized learning support. I'm passionate about creating engaging, structured, and nurturing environments where children feel confident, supported, and excited to learn. In addition to English, I offer Spanish and Persian (Farsi) language support and bilingual learning exposure. My approach combines warmth, professionalism, and strong developmental understanding to help each child grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
