Taking it all in! by Betsey - November 2024 Scholarship Essay

I am fortunate to belong to a school system that not only encourages but supports involvement. I believe that having a well balanced High School experience is important to be able to make that first step out on your own in College. I have learned how to juggle my academics along with a variety of extra curricular activities and am so thankful that I have had the wide range of experiences that I have. Establishing priorities has given me a glimpse at what responsibilities mixed with freedom of College life will bring. I believe this has definitely prepared me for future success in College and beyond. My plan is to go into Special Education and I know just from the little bit of experience that I have had so far, not every day is going to be the same in the classroom. Going into that with an open mind and the ability to look at things from a different perspective along with the desire to help will bring me success. I look forward to taking advantage of all of the opportunities that are offered in this next step of life and education to pave the way to achieving my dreams and having great success.
