prioritizing education by Ivy - November 2024 Scholarship Essay

My education journey has prepared me for future success by helping me manage my time and prioritize tasks. Right now I am a highschool student taking college classes and is going to graduate with my associates degree. I am also a two season high school athlete and work a part time job. I also help tutor fellow students at my school. Doing this many things helps me prioritize what is important to me. My education is very important and I love to learn. Taking higher level classes has helped me learn how to find time to study and how to teach myself the material when I don't understand. I think that I can use the things that I have learned from my education and the skill that it has taught me to continue going forward with my education and take time to study and to help me focus on what is important. I want to become an educator in the public school system and I want to teach students how to achieve their goals and find a passion for learning. In order to achieve goals you have to prioritize what is important to you and through my education I have been able to learn task management by balancing highschool/ college, work, social life, sports, and other things by putting what is important first. I also know that I can not just forget about other parts of my life. I can't just give up on sports because it's too hard or I can't give up on a social life because I don’t have the time or energy. With pursuing more education I have to remember what I have already learned and keep going forward.
