A college degree for me is an academic and personal achievement that will influence my future. An essential requirement that will help me to give solidity to the knowledge I have received from Pre-K to now and will go on. The paper I get when I graduate it’s not just a paper because it ensures that I have completed and satisfactorily passed my studies. That I have acquired the necessary knowledge to be open to the labor market. It also shows that I have been persevering, constant, disciplined and capable of completing the goals that I have proposed to myself. It’s a cycle in my life.
By having an university degree I am a better candidate to be selected to fill a work vacancy. The door to professional opportunities will open for me, I will find better jobs, I will be able to climb, promote, grow in that place, and I can even aspire to receive a better salary.
A college degree is also a requirement to continue and prepare me for life when doing master's degrees and doctorates, with which I will have better opportunities. I will achieve cultural enrichment, by experiencing with people of different origins and cultures, that will somehow share the same interests as mine.
