I am certified to teach high school history and economics, special education (generalist 7-12), as well as secondary gifted and talented. I have an average NYS Regents Exam pass rate of 90% and have demonstrated great success remediating the literacy deficits and enduring understandings of high needs students and students with disabilities. I have been trained in the Orton Gillingham Multisensory approach to literacy instruction intended for use with persons who have difficulty with reading, spelling, and writing of the sort associated with dyslexia. Furthermore, I have a wealth of experience tutoring students for a variety of standardized exams including: the U.S History, ELA and Global History Regents and the AP U.S History and U.S Government and Politics exams. Lastly, I have developed great relationships with my students and tutees, which I attribute, in part, to my Life Space Crisis Intervention training and calm and respectful demeanor.
