I am a Brown University graduate, dedicated to challenging students to reach their full potential and see the relevancy of every class, to their daily life and life goals. The sessions that I conduct are tailored to the individual student and include creative approaches that incorporate their interests wherever possible. I enjoy working with middle school and high school students as well as adults looking to improve their quality of life or enrich their life through continuing education. I have more than 5 years of experience tutoring students in Reading, English, and Humanities courses at the high school and college level. I also prepared Native Chinese speakers for the SAT and TOEFL exam while I lived in Beijing, China. Additionally, I have worked with many students on college entrance and scholarship essays, one of my favorite things to work with students on. I graduated from Brown University without debt by fully funding my college education through merit based scholarships. I am a 2008 National Coca Cola Scholar and a Gates Millenium Scholar. I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in education policy and in my free time I love painting, cinema and staying abreast of current international news.
