I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication and my Masters degree in Elementary Education and Educational Administration. Since graduation, I have gained experience in community development, retail merchandising and education. I served in the Air Force National Guard for 10 years and gained the rank of SSgt. I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students during my teaching tenure. I worked as a tutor at a private school where my primary focus dealt with reading, math and writing. Recently, I taught developmental writing at Eastfield College. My teaching and tutoring experience has empowered me to teach a range of subjects. My passion is writing and reading. In my experience of helping struggling students prepare for standardized tests and the GRE, I came to appreciate the different types of learning styles and utilized resources that allow students to gain confidence, therefore, becoming successful.
