I've also enjoyed teaching ESL and sharing my enthusiasm for learning Spanish. These experiences have included working with children from kindergarten through 12th grade. I am an alumna of the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the University of Pennsylvania, and a fluent Spanish speaker. In addition to working in 20+ American schools and programs, I have lived and worked in Chile and Peru, where I taught English and trained other teachers. I am a lifelong bookworm, proud owner of a "Grammar Police" T-shirt, and geek for fantasy and magical realism. I have a track record of helping students to discover or develop a love of Reading, Writing and Language. My most rewarding experiences have involved guiding struggling or unengaged students in finding their own talents as writers and learners. I believe a successful tutoring approach includes creativity, responsiveness, attention to detail, and a clear passion for the subject.
