I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in French & Education with a minor in English Literature. I am also currently working towards a Master of Arts in French at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I am certified to teach French K-12 in the state of Missouri (and have the qualifications for Kansas). I enjoyed teaching at both the middle school and the high school level as part of my training. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored both writing and French. I am now substitute teaching at a French immersion school in the area, and I had fun teaching grades 2nd and 5th there over the summer. I am available to tutor English grammar, literature, writing, math up to Algebra 1, all levels of French, and test prep (including ACT). As someone with an appreciation for languages, I especially like tutoring English and French. Since I am a certified teacher, I am prepared to present information in a variety of ways to help my students with understanding. Additionally, I like to help my students take responsibility for their own learning during our sessions. Aside from teaching, I enjoy spending time with my roommates and our animals, watching shows and movies, going to sporting events, and taking advantage of the nice weather outdoors.
