About Me
I am an experienced writer and teacher with a degree in Political Science from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and a Master's degree in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education in New York, New York. I have taught and tutored students for over five years, with four years of experience in the classroom. In particular, I have a passion for helping people with essays and test taking skills. I specialize in coaching students through the personal essay writing process from start to finish, whether for college admission or other applications. I am patient, resourceful, and insightful, and have a broad knowledge base from science to political science; from fine literature to fine arts. I also know my way around standardized tests. I scored a 34 on the ACT, and in the 98th and 96th percentile of the GRE's analytical writing and verbal reasoning sections, respectively. Outside of academics, I also love to paint, practice yoga, and travel. I've spent time in many other countries, like France, Turkey, and Iraq, and have studied French, Arabic, and Persian. I hope you find my skills and experience a good match for what you're seeking! I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your goals!
