Following in my mother's footsteps, I began working with children at a young age and have not stopped since. I attended Eastern Connecticut State University and received a Bachelor's in English along with a Secondary teaching certificate. I then went to George Mason University and received my Master's in Linguistics with a TESL certification. I have always loved school, which allows me to instill that joy in my students to get them motivated. I believe in a comfortable and communicative environment for my students to thrive in. A main focus in my ESL teaching philosophy is to allow the transition from my sessions to a new environment, such as their school classroom, as easy as possible. Providing students with comfort in the language, speaking skills, and range of motivating activities will prepare them for this transition. The same idea can be applied with SAT prep. The main focus in my sessions to get students comfortable with taking the test. While your student will work hard and learn a lot, I will never put unnecessary pressure on them. I understand that every student has a different learning style and I will adjust to them to alleviate any pressure they feel.
