I believe that literacy and obtaining better than adequate writing skills are paramount necessities for today’s students, as they strive to acquire the skills needed for success in furthering their education, as well as entering the work force. I want my students to connect and identify with the characters in their assigned readings, and for them to be able to share their experiences with others verbally as well as through writing. I want students to feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a friendly environment with a knowledgeable tutor, who is passionate about literature and the writing process. It has been my duty as well as my pleasure to work with students at all high school grade levels in various classrooms. I have had much success helping my students achieve their fullest potential in regards to the humanities. I have a passion for literature, history, and writing which I share in a friendly, enthusiastic, and easy to understand manner. As I embark on the next chapter of my life, I would love the opportunity to continue to assist young people with any literacy or general academic challenges they may be facing and tutoring would be a great opportunity to do so. I n my free time I enjoy music, sports and I like to stay active.
