I returned to France after graduating, to participate in the English Teaching Assistant Program in Bordeaux, where I worked in two elementary schools by helping to facilitate lessons, read stories to students, and work with small groups of students to complete English assignments. It was in Bordeaux that I realized my passion for helping students succeed and went on to serve two years in a 6th grade math class as an AmeriCorps Member through a Teaching Fellowship upon returning to the United States. I continue to serve students by working for an education nonprofit that focuses on increasing students??? grades, attendance, and good behaviors. I do this work because I believe that all students deserve a quality education and that educators can and should do better at providing individualized support to students. In my free time, I also enjoy baking, hiking with my dog, taking on fitness challenges, and crafting.
