My teaching philosophy is, first and foremost, getting the student interested in the subject, and then moving on to the particular area in which they are struggling. As a writing and philosophy tutor in college, I would quickly assess the most compelling piece of information, and then continue to work on what they are struggling with. Writing is often puzzling, and I have solved many puzzles! I am a recent graduate of Knox College, with a major in Philosophy and a minor in Creative Writing. I was one course away from graduating with a double major in English Literature, but I chose to focus on my Philosophy Studies. I earned an award for my Philosophical writing through the Illinois Philosophical Association in 2016.
