7+ years of tutoring
Guy
- Though its not my primary focus, I would also be happy to help high school students in U.S history classes.
About Me
I received my Bachelors in physics and astronomy from Boston University and Ph.D. in particle physics from University of Massachusetts Amherst. During my Ph.D. studies I was a teaching assistant for introductory physics classes, leading lab and discussion sessions as well as working one on one with students. My focus in tutoring is math, computer science and physics, anywhere from introductory high school classes to graduate level quantum mechanics and GRE math requirements. I have a deep passion for history, and in high school I got 5 on the AP US history exam and 800 on the US history SAT subject test. My teaching philosophy is to focus on developing problem solving skills and intuitions that should be applicable to any field the student chooses to go into.
Hobbies & Interests
I'm interested in artificial intelligence, particularly its application in natural language processing.
