My favorite thing about teaching is helping students learn and grow into independent learners who are proud of their achievements no matter how small. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Special Education at the University of Texas at El Paso. i am certified to teach students who are receiving Special Education services from Early Childhood through the 12th grade. I worked as a teacher for 15 years and taught students with varying learning abilities and in all grade levels. My favorite subject is Reading. I've always loved to read and I believe once a student learns how to read and comprehend what they are reading, it opens up the whole world for them. Reading is one of the most essential skills a person needs to be successful in life. This is why I love teaching students reading & comprehension skills. Aside from teaching I own a vintage store and I enjoy hunting for and collecting interesting vintage items i can share with other people so they can enjoy them as well.
