2+ years of tutoring
Borsha
- Hi! My name is Borsha, and I am a Computer Science graduate with a Mathematics minor from Western Michigan University.
- My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and step-by-step.
About Me
I have over two years of tutoring and academic support experience helping K12 and college students build confidence in math, programming, and quantitative subjects. I tutor subjects including Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Python, C, R, SQL, Data Structures, and introductory Computer Science. Every student learns differently, so I focus on understanding each student's needs, breaking difficult concepts into simple explanations, and practicing together until they feel confident solving problems on their own. In my previous tutoring and learning assistant roles, I supported hundreds of students through one-on-one sessions, group review sessions, exam preparation, and online tutoring platforms including review sessions that helped raise exam and quiz scores by 20 percent. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them develop stronger problem-solving skills, better study habits, and lasting confidence in their learning. I look forward to working with you!
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of tutoring, I'm a big movie lover — I even built a streaming recommendation web app as a personal coding project, so I'm always up for talking about films! I also love cooking, listening to music, and getting lost in a good book. Traveling and experiencing new places and cultures is another passion of mine, and connecting with people from different backgrounds is one of my favorite parts of both tutoring and life in general.
