Hello! My name is Allan Di, and I am a first-year student at Swarthmore College pursuing a Bachelor in biochemistry with aspirations of attending medical school to become a surgeon. With over 2 years of tutoring experience, I specialize in mathematics subjects, including Algebra, Precalculus, AP Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Statistics. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and explore challenging concepts. I am passionate about helping students build their confidence and achieve academic success, whether they are looking to strengthen their foundational skills or tackle advanced material. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy engaging in scientific research and exploring new areas of interest, which I believe enhances my ability to connect with students.

Outside of academics I am very interested in STEM research. I worked as an intern at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the summers during high school researching highly specific redox NADPH genes in cancer cells which showed therapeutic activity against human cancers. In my spare time, I love hanging out with my friends, going golfing, finding new places to eat, and many other fun activities!
