On a personal note, I grew up in Virginia, attending public schools, a public 'magnet' high school, and the University of Virginia. After completing graduate school in Boston, I met my Japanese husband, lived in Tokyo for a decade, and recently returned to the Good Old US of A. I pride myself on connecting with each individual student based on his or her individual interests and goals. I am a huge reader, love cooking and baking, enjoy travel and anything outdoors, and have studied FIVE foreign languages. I am also active in volunteer work, and I take any chance I can get to play with my two nephews!
