Daniel
Certified Tutor
I am a chemistry graduate from McNeese State University with eight months' experience in tutoring math at a tutoring center. I love to tutor students at any grade or competency level. Calculus, statistics, precalculus, geometry, and algebra are among the subjects I can teach. It's great to make math interesting for students by helping them understand the fundamental concepts. I also tutor science and test prep, especially chemistry and the ACT. Outside of tutoring, I like to play golf.
My teaching philosophy is to prepare students to be independent learners by guiding them through the steps that comprise the problem using common-sense questions and building upon their existing knowledge. Students can remember individual methods for the upcoming test, but they will forget them later. Problem-solving skills can last a lifetime and be applied to many different subjects.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is to engage students in a dialogue to build their problem-solving abilities and deepen their knowledge of the subject matter. Methods can be memorized. Asking the right questions is a skill that every student can learn with guidance.
