Having more than 20 years plus of experience in being a business owner I enjoy and love working for myself and helping others. My past experiences have been volunteering for local Rotary Clubs in the area and helping business owners translate documentation and policies and procedures within their organizations. As a mentor I have enjoyed working with a diverse population of both children and adults of all walks of life both as a volunteer and in a professional way. I have a passion to continue my studies in the business field as I currently will pursue my Masters Degree in Business Administration.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is that I believe that each student is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to learn, grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as a tutor to help students meet their fullest potential in struggling areas by providing an environment that is fun, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a typical first session I will get to know the student's strengths and weaknesses he or she is facing. Then I will determine my sessions on those struggling subjects.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I can help a student become an independent learner by suggesting they work on their own time.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
I would engage them in different activities.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Focus on those areas first, and then move on to other areas of a subject.
