Certified Tutor
I recently graduated with my master's in Molecular Medicine from the University of South Florida. Science has always been my favorite subject since it helps elucidate the universe we live it. I understand the struggles that students face with difficult coursework and as a tutor, it would be an honor to empathize with everyone and let them know that with hard work and effort, no subject will be too difficult to pass.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My philosophy is to work patiently with each client. Their grades are important to them, and I believe giving slightly harder questions will allow clients to push themselves into understanding the material. I believe visual tactics may also be useful, depending on the subject.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Ask the student what they already know to have an idea what they understand. Then work on material that they are struggling with.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Assigning questions and making material interesting.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Showing results such as improved test grades.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Break the material down.
How do you evaluate a student's needs?
Ask them to explain the material to me. They say you learn when you teach.
How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?
Empathizing. I was once a student too.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
Patience. Some material is generally difficult.
