Hi! My name is Mary. I'm currently studying English and Chemistry at WashU. I have a real passion for science and writing; I have a lot to share. When I first came to WashU I struggled with the science portion of my curriculum and needed a tutor. If not for the help of someone able to speak and relate to me on a level I could understand, I'm unsure that I would have succeeded in any of my introductory science classes. I want to help students who have difficulty learning in a traditional lecture setting by creating problems, critical-thinking strategies, and hands-on learning experiences that are relevant to the student and the material at hand.

While both science and math-based classes are my specialty, I also have a strong handle on the ACT. The ACT can be a deciding factor when your application passes through the admissions committee and a high score can help you to achieve much in the way of scholarships as well as admission into more selective schools. I have a lot of tips and tricks regarding standardized test-taking that served me well that I would love to impart to you!
