What is your teaching philosophy?

When a student has difficulty learning a concept, I try to find as many different ways to explain the concept as possible. For example, if the standard/straight forward approach fails, then I will try to see what else has a student learned that may be similar and how they prepared for that type of question. From there we can move to a more visual representation of material to see if that helps solidify the concept. Working with the student in terms of what works best for them, is the best route to take.
